I want to get a powerlock and I'm being faced with a decision. By an EOD powerlock now or wait and get a regular one. Is there any big difference between the two? I don't need the cap crimper, but I don't want to wait to long to get one. Is the anything else the cap crimper can do? Thanks

May I ask where you are looking to purchase from?

I bought a couple of EOD Powerlocks here. They have great prices and great service. They list the Powerlock S60 and EOD Powerlock S61 at the same price.

I think the only difference between the S60 and the S61 is the presence of a blasting cap and wire crimper on the S61.

I bought an SOG S60 PowerLock which says Master Mechanic on the handles for about $60 from a local True Value hardware store. It came with a dark leather belt holster.

Heathah, that was the place where I was going to buy it from. Also since you have bought from there I was wondering, do they have good shipping prices? I might just wait and get the regular powerlock seeing as they expect to get some soon.

I recently placed a couple orders of about $130 and $140 and shipping was approximately $9 and $10 respectively. They shipped these two orders via UPS and FedEx respectively. I received both within three to four days of the ship date. I have also found their expected date for out-of-stock items is fairly accurate so there should be no worries there.

I hope this information helps. I have had no problems ordering from them and I hope you don't as well.
