I'm getting interested in putting together some fixed blade knives with my own handles. I know about the "knifemaker supply" websites, Muela's offerings, the various Scandinavian companies who sell blanks, and the Spyderco Mules, but I would love to get my hands on some other companies' products.

i would try Hyde, R. Murphy, and Ontario Knife Company. I talked with all three last year and they said they will sell blades only.

Thanks scott: ontario would be ideal, but do they sell individual blanks, or only in bulk?

I believe Fallkniven sold F1 kits at one time. I don't know if they still do but you could easily find out.

I did a similar search several months ago and didn't come up with much.

I've been very pleased with my (Scandanavian, I know) EnZo Trapper blank. Has lots of holes, so you can do pretty much any type of handles you like. There are a few different styles and steels available.
Also, with the removable plastic scales, every Becker knife is a blank that comes with a complimentary set of handles (well, okay, the eskabars and neckers don't come with 'em.)
That's where a lot of us start.

Not a brand, but Smoky Mountain has like 9 pages of blanks.

I don't know of any other than the ones you have mentioned, but spyderco also made a woodcraft blank and a bushcraft blank. Both have been discontinued, but if you ever come across one it might be a cool project.

Karesuando, Mora, Brusletto anx Helle blanks are available from ragweedforge.com.Everyone will tell you that Ragnar is a great guy, and the knives speak for themselves!
