Which RAT-3 should I buy?

Finally make up my mind and I am going to order the RAT-3 Plain Edge from ebay for $69.00 plus $5.30 shipping to HAWAII, both the 1095 and D2 are the same price, serrated is $74.00, sheath color comes with either Olive Green, Black or TAN, please have me choose. This will be my EDC.

In a knife this size, D2 would be hard to beat, so that's my recommendation to you. Hope your quandary does not extend into sheath color choices, but my personal choice would be tan.

If it was me, I would get the D2 steel. And the color choice would be the one that best matches your wardrobe.

I like tan too, but the Ontario tan is more white than anything else. So I opted for black.
I wonder why a RAT-3 on Ebay is cheaper than ANY other internet knife site and especially for D2?

all i know is that the edge dulling is a constant. the variable is how easy it is to sharpen out in the middle of nowhere. and 1095 is easier. Id prefer the od green stuff.

+1 1095 in plain edge. Sharpens up nicely, easy to retouch.
