Which Ronin Sheath is Currently Provided?

Hey Gud4u...

Personally from a sheath makers standpoint..
The second link has the nicer sheath..
However I believe the first link is the sheaths that come with the Ronin...

I've seen, held and tried the first style of sheath and I'm not too fond of it...

Just my opinion though..

I've had 4 or 5 Ronins (don't ask), from early low serial numbered ones, to current non-numbered ones. The sheath in the first pic (New Graham) is close to what comes with the knife, there have been some small detail changes since then, but generally, the pic is accurate. I bought a custom Concealex sheath to go with my Ronin, and it made a huge difference. I really don't like the factory sheath.

The second sheath pictured is a prototype I made for Spyderco for the EWA show a few years ago, before the Ronins were in production and Spyderco began making thier own sheaths.

Thanks, folks!

My experience with neck-carry sheaths is just enough to know that the longer sheath is likely to cause printing where the butt of the handle ride up on my pot-belly!

Hey Guys...

You know what Mike....

I was going to say it looked like a Sastre rig, but then I thought I'd better not speculate....

I knew there was a reason I liked that rig.... The ones I made for Sal were almost the same...

Not that I was copying you Mike..:)
