I'm getting married in September, and of course want to get my groomsmen knives as their gifts. What I was looking for is a SAK with the tools on the Soldier but also want scissors as well. Which model has these features? Also feel free to suggest a different knife if you think there's a better suggestion. Thank you for any help

What about the Huntsman?

Also, I found KnifeWorks.com to be my favorite online source. VERY nice prices.

I've considered the hunstman, but the guys I'm getting the SAKs for probably won't ever need/use the saw.

I'd say for a gift an Alox model would be much better and classier, maybe an Alox Pioneer or something. No scissors but its a heck of a lot nicer to hold and admire than the plastic SAKs

Which "Soldier" model are you talking about, the 93mm alox "1961" model or the newer 111mm current SAK version? If you are going for the larger 111mm model then you can have the scissors in the Outrider package. There is even a camo version with the Phillips screwdriver. Otherwise if you were talking about the older alox Soldier then you are out of luck to get scissors in that package without hiring a modder to install a scissors in them.

If your groomsmen are more office and suit and tie guys you might want to consider the 74mm Executive model. They come in various colors, include a scissors and the toothpick and tweezers also they have the Orange Peeler blade exclusive to this model. They can be engraved as well of course.

i just got a Vic Explorer for my mates 50th. why ?
it has a philips head screwdriver AND a corkscrew AND scissors AND a little magnifying glass PLUS all the usual stuff.
I honestly looked at all of them & this seemed to be the most useful.
PLUS it looks like a SAK & won't scare the bridesmaids (much).
cheers & good luck.

so you want scissors but no saw?

they sell the super tinker at walmart for $19 it has scissors.

Take a look at the Compact. It has scissors, but it's only two layers. It's also a "plus" model from the factory, which means it comes with pin, pen, and micro screwdriver. You have a choice of standard red or black scales.

Thank you guys for all your help. As much as I would prefer an alox model, they don't have scissors and that's a feature I want for the guys I'm getting the SAKs for. So I have it narrowed down to the climber, executive or the alox classic/money clip. At least I'm this far. Thank you guys again

My pick would be a Classic SD Sterling silver with their initials engraved on it. (has scissors). Special enough for them to keep for ever.

Or the Wenger Porsche design 39 (it's a Porsche! and a SAK! what's not to like?)
Or the Wenger Evowood - walnut handles.

The regular Alox Cadet is nice too and you can engrave it. The Alox Cadet is great and like a mini soldier but no scissors. And the best overall for edc with scissors is the super tinker. If you could find a black one it would be classy and you can probably engrave it too.

My groomsmen are getting an array, depending on what they have already...
Best man is getting a Vic 111mm Hunter
Remaining groomsmen get Leatherman Fuses
Ring Bearer gets a Vic My first Swiss Army Knife.

+1 for the Alox...but since scissors are a "must", then my vote goes for the Super Tinker (black could be a good colour option)
