Which SAK, Wenger or Victorinox?

I bought a Wenger in the early 90's when they were the "other" official SAK under seperate ownership in another canton. This knife is a 'fisherman's' model, and the main blade had a locking-lever. Unfortunately, the Wenger knife wasn't as robust as it's Swiss cousin from Victorinox. In fact, I thought it was inferior to say the least, when compared to those similarly priced Vics. Now that Victorinox owns both entities, how does the quality stack-up today. I haven't purchased another Wenger since then, and have always gone with Vics. The Wengers, appear to be better made now, is this fact or fiction? Any differences should be in name only, the quality should now be virtually the same, right? Have any other forum members discerned any differences between the 'original' seperately-made knives like I did? Thanks for your input.

Truth be told, even before the buy-out, the overall build quality was pretty good for both. The only reason I would prefer a pre-2005 (2004? I don't recall the exact year of the takeover) Vic over a Wenger is because Vic seemed to have better backsprings. Wenger had more of a soft snap. I own a couple newer models, a Soft Touch 14, Evo Grip 18, and the Ranger equivalent of the Trekker without the "Spyderhole". Compared to my older Wenger knifes (PTC, Traveller), the snap is much more...authoritative.

If I were a complete SAK newbie, and asked to determine which had a superior build, I'd be hard pressed to do so.
