Which Sebenza?

Im currently saving for a sebenza. but i have a couple of questions.

First im trying to decide what would be a better all purpose blade the nica tanto or the regular/classic shape. I generally dont like the look of tantos but something about that nica sebenza draws me to it.

second how well do the colored graphics hold up on something like the "night sky" or others. If im not mistaken a milling machine carves out the picture and then the colors are "anodized" I have a couple other knives with anodized (aluminum) handles and normal pocket carry wears away some of the edges. Does this also happen with the sebenzas?

I like the tanto shape as it's more sturdy and I'm as that careful. It's also quite useful for what I do, packages, boxes and etc.

I had a night sky and cariied it in the same pocket as coins and keys. It did take a little hit on the design.

Also does anybody know how i can get my hands on one of the calvary sebs?

Hi

You can order one directly from CRK.

It may take some time, but you will get what you want.

They do these in both Large and Small and in Classic and Regular.

As with the Night Sky design, the final result will always be a bit different as Lisa does these as Unique patterns.

Take care, Neil

It takes quite a while to wear the anodizing down on engraved designs. Just because they are that, engraved, set lower into the handle. I've never been an advocate of carrying any pocket knife with keys, change, etc, in the pocket. Great thing is you can always send it back to the factory for a refurbish job!

Thanks for the repsonses. Do you guys know how much the large regular calvary seb would cost or should i just call the factory.

Here's a thread you can read re: wear of the anodized Sebenza slabs: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4356326#post4356326

My comments stand as written therein.
