Which sharpening system is best & why?

I thank you all for a very interesting forum.

Which Sharpening system... i.e. Lansky, spyderco, etc. would YOU recommend and WHY?

I have little to no experience sharpening blades (plain or serrated).

I have a B.F. Spyderco native (yes), ATS-34 B.M., Gerber E.Z. out, an old high carbon hunting knife, and am considering a Spyderco Military or 710 axis-lock.

Thank You.

Chris

personally i use a gatco system (like a lansky) but with a few modifications. the gatco clamp was a POS, so i use a DMT aligner guide for my folders and a lansky guide for my fixed blades. i also use a lansky ultra fine hone to finish before stropping. that's what i use and am delighted with. it holds the angles precise and i don't have to worry about if my eye is crooked like i would with the spyderco. you can get V shaped hones for shapening serrations. my .02
