Hello,

I just ruined my stock sheath in an attempt to remove the insert and reshape it:rolleyes:. Does anyone know of a good sheath for the bk9? custom or aftermarket is fine. Im looking for something cheap, nothing fancy.

Thanks for looking

If you want to go custom and affordable, contact MyWifeThinksImCrazy (Nick) via Mail, PN or Facebook (just search for "Nix Leather"). He makes some very nice sheaths, I don't know what his price point is, but I'm sure it's cheaper than most other custom sheathmakers.

I don't know of any aftermarket sheaths that will fit the BK9.

My kids got me some nice kydex for my BK9 for Father's day. I could mention the name of the vendor but I'm not sure if that's deal spotting and whatnot.

Nix Leather, Hands down. That sheath makes the knife. Just got back from wearing it most of the weekend in the woods.

I say looking into SpecOps Large Combat Master. Good sheath, not too much money. You can go custom leather or custome kydex, there are several makers here tha do a fine, fine job, and don't kill the wallet either. Kiah, does some great kydex, and he's got a forum here. BFC is full of sheath makers, but Nix Leather is some good stuff, as well.

Shop around, you'll find something here that will fit the bill. :D

Combat Masters come in 2 sizes: Short for blades up to 6" or Long for blades up to 8". Because of that, I've stuck with stock for the 9. I would suggest kydex or if leather is your thing, Nix.

thanks. i really would like a bombproof kydex set up with modified spec-ops combat master type loops .i believe that would work well so maybe i might look into making something like it soon.

I'm just curious, what is ruined about your stock one? Is the insert torn or the nylon?

I tried to cut the plastic wing stitching that holds the insert in. I ended up cutting a big chunk of the stitching that holds the sheath together. So, its falling apart now. Really stupid mistake.

I'd lke to see first-hand how they are put together. If you send me an e-mail on my profile(with your e-mail in it) I can send you something in exchange for it if you would like.

This is what i had done for my Becker BK9,7 & Gerber Metolius. I am VERY happy. It swivels when you move, for easy squatting down, bending, entering/exiting vehicles or atv's ect. The smaller Gerber metolius can be worn alone or with/on either the 9 or the 7 as a piggyback.

That's pretty fancy. Did someone make those for you, or do you do it yourself?

I looking for someone to make me a Kydex piggyback system for my BK9/BK11 cross draw for a Lefty ! I found 1 person so far to give me a price quote but I'm gonna try to get up with a few more makers & see what they have got to offer !
