I have an acquaintance looking for a nylon/cordura style sheath, preferably with a kydex insert.

Who was the.guy who did high quality sheath of that type? For the.life of.me I can't remember or find it. Mountain something, maybe? The sheath names were "phallic" in nature if I recall.

Other makers info welcome as well.

Yep The John Holmes was one model....I believe "Big Andy" was another they planned... ;)

Paratus Tactical was another that made similar sheaths.

Good luck getting one from that guy.

He hasn’t updated his website in over a year and hasn’t posted on here in the same or longer.

And I wanted one bad to :-(

Yup, I actually spoke with him on the phone and the sheath I wanted to order was "in final stages of production" >>> that was over 18 months ago.

I wanted black nylon w/MOLLE to blend with my favorite pack and black B8 LE handle...after I saw he wasn't gonna get around to putting any up for sale, I rummaged around and figured out I had the PERFECT sheath I needed already that was holding a Regulator....

Ah, ok guys, thanks for the heads up.

Seems like a good place for someone to grab some market share.

Tops sells some condura sheaths that are bigger and cheaper than Spec Ops, and you can get them with the insert unformed. Got one with a second hand Ratweiler a while back. The main blade pocket is 9" long with the insert sticking up about a quarter inch out the top. The one I have is quite a bit wider than the advertised 2" width. Mine actually measures out over 2.5" wide. Looks to be that if I had another insert it would easily take an ASH2.
