which one should i get i will edc this i do not use my knives as prybars my hands are medium i have held both also which of the steel is better the one the mpr or the one the 950 rift:cool:

I like the Rift. I like the AXIS lock a lot better. Not a big fan of frame locks. The steel on the MPR holds an edge a lot better but the Rift is easy to touch up. If the Rift is comfortable for your size hand I would go with it. Just my preference.

If you don't mind glass breakers on the butt the Contego would be a good pick, Rift style blade with MPR's steel.

Edit: other "super steel" for Contego...

That's a tough choice.
If I were to choose the rift I would be solely picking it because it's bigger, I like the blade shape, and the black/grey handles.

So out of these two, I would pick up the 755 MPR. It's a tank of a knife for being so small, better steel, will be able to stand up to just about anything, it's not TOO small, frame locks are always awesome lol, I just prefer the overall design of this knife. I believe it to be the better choice of the two.

I haven't found any BM that I like better than the Rift, so that'd be my choice. I've never owned an MPR but I've seen a couple and they don't look like anything that would fit my needs or hands. I like 154CM personally. Takes a nasty edge, holds it a good while, and comes back quickly. I've never heard of any issues with the steel and BM seems to know how to do it right.
