Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a Spyderco slipjoint. I previously had a UKPK in Gin1 steel, but the spring was too weak. I'm not sure which one to get, as it won't be carried a lot unless legally need be or I just feel like carrying something different.
I liked the UKPK alot except for the weak spring. I like the looks of the Pingo, and the Roadie looks good too. Wouldn't mind the Spy DK or squeak either. Which one would you guys recommend?

If you liked the old gin1 UKPK, then you should absolutely get the new ffg BD-1 UKPK. They updated the spring so that it is way stronger than before. Like night and day. It's still made in golden, and just a great knife.

I only have the older UKPKs, but the new flat-ground UKPKs reportedly also have a redsigned, stiffer spring.

Good luck on your search!

**lol, too slow :)**

I like the Roadie a lot if you don't mind the small blade. Very convenient and well thought-out. Maybe take a look at the Urban as well. It's my favorite Slipit and the spring is strong on the lightweight version.
