I have a ton of Spydercos, but never got around to getting a UKPK, I had kinda of dismissed the whole Slipit concept at first but after seeing some of these newer ones I am totally interested it getting one to carry around at least for awhile, who knows it may finally knock the Delica out of my pocket. I'm just curious as to what Slipit blade desgin you all think is best for an EDC. At first I was just going to get a UKPK, but then I saw the Urban and the Byrd Wings Slipit, and I don't know why but I think the Urban Wharncliffe looks totally cool but I've never carried anything other than Delica/Endura, and standard clip or spear point slipjoints. Just curious what you all think, I'm sure if I like the first one I'll probably get them all, Spydercos seem to mulitply wherever I am:D

I like the UKPK because it's the perfect size for my hand. It's similar to the Delica in size. The Urban is a bit too small IMO. I do like the wharncliffe shape though

blah, crappy TWC RR (and I work there)...

long post ... but basically, also consider BOB T slipit, CF handles and s30v blade, made in taiwan.

I have that and a ukpk, love the ukpk better, like them both a lot!!

The UKPK for me is the perfect design. Very light weight and simplistic.

For the dress occasion look at the Bob T slipit though.

The only one I have is the Wings (I'm planning on getting the Bob T one soon), and I like it a lot. It sneaks into my pocket all the time. Convenient size for me, nice price, and a best of both worlds answer to the 'Plain or serrated?' question.

I too dismissed them at first, but after seeing the orange urban I fell in love. That blade really gets into things well and the handle fits my hand perfect. Not having a lock has not been an issue as of yet, though I do not use it for cutting aggressively very often, If I do, out comes a Calypso Jr or rescue. For light cuttign chores I totally reco the orange urban. I want a green one, just dont need it.

I got a Bobby T slippie last week and it has not left my pocket yet. If it was USA made and had a slightly larger hole (though its not possible unless you change the whole knife) than I would by 5. I really enjoy using, handling, admiring, showing it, E all of the above.

I have no plans to carry a non locking folder, but if I were going to, out of the current crop of Spyderco SlipIts, the Bob T would be my choice. The UKPK's are too cobby, the Urbans too small, and both too "tactical" looking for my taste.

I have both Urban and UKPK...The urban has a better fit and finish along with a smoother action but the handle and blade shape of the UKPK is the best in the Spyderco lineup IMO.

I just find the Urban to be a little short. Like the Persistence and Tenacious.

I really dig the Wharncliffe/Orange handled Urban, but from what I've seen the UKPK is roughly the size of the Delica (what I'm used to)? Carry size is not really an issue for me. On the UKPK any problems from not having the jimping on the choil like is on the Urban and Caly 3?

The Jimping is a non issue for me...The UKPK handle is alittle smaller than Delica or atleast it seems it.

Go for a UKPK. I was extremely pleased with mine and bought another. Great little knife.
