Which Socom Delta Do You Prefer?

So I thought I would hate the aluminum handled ones because I felt like it would get scratched easily (based on my experience with benchmades aluminum knives). But to my surprise, I actually liked the aluminum in person and it felt pretty durable (although I didn't scratch test it, of course).

I found a stoned washed g10 clip point s30v that was for sale and I was able to handle at a store and although the g10 wasnt bad at all, it and the stone washing just seemed to not fit the knife as well as the aluminum bead blasted version.

Am I crazy for possibly passing up a G10 stone washed version for an aluminum hanseled bead blasted version?
Usually I love stone wash and g10 because it hides wear, but it didn't exactly feel right in the 2 minutes I fondeled it.

I'm looking for others opinions just to get a general sense of whether I may change my mind after the fact and regret purchasing a g10 stonewashed version.

Also, does when Microtech says satin, do they mean bead blasted?

Bead Blasted is a non-glare coating, like the titanium on a Sebenza or Umnumzaan. Satin finish is satin finish, like the Spyderco Military, Manix, and Para2.

Thanks, but I know what bead blasting and satin finish is. I'm just wondering if MICROTECH considers there bead blast finish satin. If not, then I assume they have three finishes on their knives. Satin, bead blasted, and stone washed. Actually I have seen the satin in high res shots now, its definitely not bead blasted.

I've had the Delta for a few months now with aluminum handles. If you look closely, you can faintly see a couple small scratches. It hides the wear really well so far. Just be warned though, the pocket clip will drive you insane. It carries high and the clip gets stuck on everything. It scratched my car, get's stuck on things as you walk by, and I even had it bend outward about 50 degrees. It's better now after I spent 15 minutes with a vice carefully pressing it back down though.

Overall, a pretty good knife.

Again, Microtech considers bead blasted...bead blasted. Satin finish is satin finish. I read your post, but why would you think Microtech does that any different than any one else? You are correct, there are 4 finishes, satin, stonewashed, bead blasted, and coated. On customs there are other finishes available. I've owned a Socom Elite in the BB finish, satin finish, coated finish, and stone washed finish. Microtech isn't the most accurate when it comes to lasering their blades and handles though, there have been plenty of mistakes with dates, serial numbers, and other such inconsistencies.

Again, what do people prefer, G10 or Aluminum? I couldn't really make up my mind. I thought I liked aluminum better, but I'm thinking I will probably regret going aluminum.
