Which Spyderco? Decisions Decisions

I'll admit...I have never really been into Spyderco knives that much, but recently, they are really starting to grow on me. I now have a Centofante 3 and just recently acquired a Persistence.

Now I'm looking at either a Military or a Gayle Bradley.

If you had to choose a EDC from either of these two...which one? They're both around the same price...give or take a few bucks.

I have both and they are equally impressive. The urban environment; GB, the sticks, Mil.

I'm definitely in an urban environment so the GB? This will just be a carry knife, not a "beat the snot out of it" on a construction site everyday...knife. My Ontario Rat 1 gets that pleasure.

Weight is something that never really bothers me. I carry a ZT0200ST fairly regular and that bad boy weighs close to 8 oz.

Gayle Bradley---> CPM M4, hollow grind, 5.5 oz, 3.5" blade roughly.

Military---> S30V, FFG, 4.2 oz, 4" blade.

Of course the reviews are glowing on both of them.

Which is better for edge retention, M4 or S30V?

Para 2 or Matrix. You will REALLY like either. Imo the regular Military is a little large for edc. The Caly 3 in CF with ZDP is also awesome. Light and carries deep.

My vote goes to the GB, the handle on the military is too big for me, I don't have very large hands, and the M4 blade steel kicks ass

edit: paramilitary2 is nice though, compression lock is awesome.

I would go with the Military, been EDC one for years on most days, check out the 50/50 edge blade style.

Both might be a little big for EDC, depending on what you do. The Military is lighter. The GB is heavier-duty.

After some deep thought and head scratching...I ordered the Military. I figured that which ever one I decided on, I could always get the other in do time.

THEN...today I go do my weekly gun shop scouting trips and what do I find in the case?...a camo pattern Para2.

So what is a knife fanatic supposed to do in a case like this? I bought it, LOL!! Definitely a case of frivolous impulse spending. Oh well...I saw it and had to have it. The best part about it is, about the middle of next week, I'll have the Military as well.

The Para2 is a bad ass knife. I know the Military is going to be bigger, but I really don't mind packing a large knife. Like I mentioned earlier that I carry a big ZT on a regular basis. I like the feeling of having something substantial clipped in my pocket.

The millie has been my edc for the last 3 yrs and I can't imagine leaving the house without it. I have 3 millies ,2 paramillie and a paramillie 2 onthe way. I can't wait!! You can't go wrong with the military line.
