Endura 4 or Centofante 3 ?????
What about the Native S30V compared to these?

I am currently looking at purchasing a new folder. I am intending on having this for EDC. Any opinions on these products are welcome, or even suggestions for other comparable folders.

thanks

I've owned both.

The Endura is considerably bigger and thicker. It has a much better grip and handle shape to me too. The Cento 3 will out slice it because of the thin blade.

I got rid of the Cento 3 and kept the Endura 4, but I'm a big, rugged, not-so-pretty knife kind of guy.

It depends if you'll need it to do hard work. The Centofante is really sharp and the blade is thin. The endura will take more of a beating at the expense of a thicker blade.

I think you should go the the shop and handle them both first and have a look and which would suit you better. Both are great Spydercos and great EDCs. Just depends what EDC means to you.

The Centofante III is really light. It also carries nicely in slacks, if that's an issue. I like the Endura 4 a lot, but could never consider replacing my Centofante with it. But what the hell, I'll buy one anyway.

The Native is also a good knife, but I don't care too much for their grip. Although I hear they are plenty cheap at Walmart, so why not pick one up?

The Endura 4, Centofante III and Native III (the VG-10 one) are my favourite FRN Spydercos, I rotate between them quite a lot. As has been pointed out, they are quite different knives.

The Endura has a larger blade (and is of course larger overall) and is sturdier than the other two. The new version with screws instead of rivets, steel liners and reinforced tip is a great hardworking knife. It is big, but it is still quite light.

The Centofante III is like an updated Opinel. The thin blade will slice through anything with ease, the handle looks a lot nicer than most FRN Spydies and it is so thin that you will forget its in your pocket. It has a kind of gentleman's folder feel to it.

The Native III has one of the best handles I've seen in any folder, even though I have big hands it fits me perfectly. The blade is a little shorter than the other two (it has a choil which takes some cutting edge). I've put this little guy through hell and it worked like a charm. It's a great medium/smallish working folder.

The choice between the Endura (it was the Endura 3 at that time), Centofante III and Native III was so hard for me I ordered all three of them. A killer deal for less than $150. If I had to choose one it would probably be the Endura because it's more versatile and the recent improvements are very good, although the Native would be a close second.

Welcome to the Forum.
I EDC Native and Endura3. I used to have Centofante 3, but I sold it because I did not like handle to blade ratio (long handle and short blade). All these knives very good cutters and very comfortable to hold, but Native and Endura looks more durable than Centofante. Native and Endura are very different: blade shape, length, weight. Both are very nice knives for about $40.

I've opened canned meat (not spam in case you curious) with my endura with no harm done. My vote goes to Endura. Of course Centofante is more sheeple-friendly knife. Never handled Native(( sorry
