I would love to swap some new steel into my Sage 2… I’ve heard the Maxamet fits, but I’m wondering does anything else?
Thanks,
Hans

I think it’s probably even hit or miss with the maxamet blade. I tried it before and it didn’t work (had a lot of up/down play), but I’ve seen others do it with success. I’ve got another maxamet sage on the way so I’ll try it again with the new one. The original sage 1 may also work but it’s s30v so there wouldn’t be any point to doing the swap.
Don't forget M4.They only made the sage in s30v and maxamet so your choice is to keep as is or maxamet![]()
I have to rec the Sage 5 M4, that one is the smoothest comp lock I have ever ever experienced.I figured it could be hit or miss.. I would hate to spend the money and then have sloppy fitting. When I find a good deal on a Maxamet on the secondary I’ll give it a try.
The CPM-M4 was the one I really wanted to have, since I already have a number of CPM-M4 Spydies, but nogo on the Sage 2I have to rec the Sage 5 M4, that one is the smoothest comp lock I have ever ever experienced.
