Which one, guys? I'm looking for something 3.5 inches or less in bladelength. It will be used for everyday uses, with no "tactical" uses in mind.

Thanks,

Erik

I highly recommend either the Native Ltwt. or the Jess Horn Ltwt. The Native is a little heavier duty, and the Horn is a little lighter and more compact. Both are delightful to carry and use every day, and are not threatening in any way.Either would save your bacon if necessary!Scary sharp.

Do yourself a favour and get a Calypso jr (micarta handle, plain edge).

You will be amazed, I guarantee it.
'nuff said!

I would recommend the Calypso Jr. Liteweight. Excellent steel (VG10) and a flat ground blade. This is the sharpest knife out of the box that I have ever purchased.

Whichever one feels best in your hand. For me it's the Native.

Native all the way. Excellent size, good grip, looks great. You can't go wrong.

Well I think that the Mini Dyad is often overlooked...The Dyad is one of my favorite Spydercos. It leaves you one blade for serious cutting chores and the plain blade which can be kept nice and sharp for detail work. And the clip keeps it very sucure in a watch pocket.

I'll put my vote in for the lightweight Calypso Jr. It's true. The edge out of the box is extremely sharp--like the edges I put on a blade with a strop.

I have three that I change back and forth and sometimes carry all three. #1 Calyspo Liteweight Plain edge, #2 Native plain edge, and # 3 Delica plain edge. All are liteweight. When I carry the heavier Steel handles, I like # 1 Worker, # 2 Rookie and # 3 Delica all plain edged except for the Worker.I' not a real fan of the serrated edge except for the Worker and it is the Classicand there are some jobs that can only be handled with the serrated edge.

You can't go wrong with any of the above suggestions. I'd go with a G10 Rookie, plain edge. But that Calypso Jr. sure looks nice.......

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the BladeForums Blue Native. It combines the outstanding ergonomics of the FRN Native with premium materials and construction. The blue scales are a nice change from basic black and the CPM440V steel takes a better edge than any of my other blades. This thing cuts like a lazer

. Better move quickly though as it seems that they are almost all sold.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Standard. I went to purchase the Delica, but after handling the Standard decided to go with it. The Standard seems to be of the same basic design but with the G10 handles. I am not sure if the blade steels are different. It just felt better in my hand. I love the size of both knives though. I was looking for something smaller than my AFCK for use at work.
