Which Spyderco?

Hey guys, I guess it's time for me to break down and get myself a spyderco. Let me start off by saying that it will not be the mili quite yet, as I already have a BM 710, so that area is already covered.

I am looking for something a little smaller that I can pull out in my office that won't get funny looks. I don't work with "sheeple" by any means, but a knife like a 710 or mili will get some funny looks sometimes anyways.

I am looking for something in the 3" range and that is about all that I am certain of at this point. Help me sort through the madness that is the great selection that Spyderco has to offer.

I would just like a suggestion as to which blade, as well as steel type and why you would chose this knife. Preferably in the $100 range, but if it's a little higher for a lot better knife that's perfectly fine with me.

Delica or any of the others in the same size/hole/frn range...or a Native.

I second the Caly 3 in ZDP. It has carbon fiber which gives it a very classy look and shouldn't get any funny looks. The choil also makes the knife feel like it is bigger than it is. Awesome little knife and the ZDP really holds an edge.

IMO get one of the ones with the nice usable choil, like a caly 3, or one of the sages

Get the new full flat ground endura, if you really want it to be sheeple friendly, get the blue handled version

I vwas just going to say the Sage C123
I don't think this is deal spotting because it is the full MSRP list, I have seen them going in the 120-130 range though. If this is considered deal spotting let me know and I will kill the link

I carried a VG10 Caly 3 for a while as my work EDC. The deep carry of the wire clip hid it well in my pocket & it was not so big as to freak out non-knife people.

That said, I am not a fan of choils and just got a new FFG Delica in Brown. The color will blend in well with my khakis.

You don't have email enabled. If you are interested in the Caly 3 with ZDP shoot me an email and I will send you a link to a price just a tad over your limit. We aren't allowed to post links as it is considered deal spotting.

+1 Caly 3

Tad over your $100, but worth it. Beautiful knife, good steel, excellent fit and finish. You'll be proud to own it, and it's unlikely to upset anyone who sees it.

i highly recommend the spyderco sage it is very people friendly everyone wants to see how awesome mine looks when i use it around my friends/ co workers. it has top quality materials with the s30v steel and the carbon fiber scales its a thing of beauty. and to boot its also very ergonomic and the full flat grind is a laser beam! If you hunt around the sage can be had for around $85

I would also recommend either the Caly 3 CF or the Sage 1. Both are equally at home in office or warehouse environments and I've never gotten a second look or any comments from the people I work with when I pull one out to use it.

The Para can be seen by some as a large knife, even though it's only a 3 1/4" blade.
