Halloween is fast approaching (or here possibly), which got me thinking.

Which spydie do you think would be best suited to carving a pumpkin :) ?

Spyderfly
Laguiole

:D

Since one of those only exists as a proto, and the other is pretty rare, a Catcherman or Police would probably do it. Also utility or boning knife from the kitchen line. Though blind-folded, one-handed carving contest with the Maddox would be interesting!!!!

I couldn't bring myself to use my Laguiole, Police, Military, Native Civilian, Matriarch, Spyderhawk, etc. etc. etc. on a pumpkin.

I just used a 4 inch Victorinox paring knife with a thin, flexible and sharp blade :D

I used my ATR....To be honest it wasnt much better than my BK9. A Paring knife was the best tool this year.

Spydie Police serrated for the big work. Touch ups with an Opinel #7. Two pumpkins, one four year old lots of fun! :)

I used my SS PE Delica. Wouldn't be the best choice since it's hard to turn corners with it, but it was handy. ;)

Used my Forum Native for the big cutting and some smaller tools for the details. Worked just fine :)

I ended up using my Spyderco kitchen small paring knife; which worked great! The s/s serrated Police seemed to be an obvious choice at first, but it's blade turned out to be too thick for optimal results.

Jeff/1911.
