I have knives in D2, ATS34, S30V, and VG-10. Which one out of these four steel is the most resistant to rust? If I were to use them at the beach, I thought it's better to bring the fixed blade rather than the folder because the sand could get into the moving parts. Do you have any experiences? Please tell me.

S30V, ATS-34 and VG-10 are very similar, there are differences which can be picked up in Q-fog tests but in general they all rust about the same and are far behind something like 420HC. Which ever steel has the best surface finish would likely have the best resistance to corrosion. D2 is far less corrosion resistant, it isn't a stainless steel. If you want a folder to use around salt water without harm then get a H1 folder from Spyderco.

The information above is accurate in my view.

As the above poster noted, the Spyder Salt series sounds perfect for your uses. For a fixed balde knife, the stainless steel Frost Mora knives (such as the clipper line) are very stain resistant. They are also affordable enought that there are no huge worries if lost when working around deep water.
