well I searched the internet for awhile and found very little in the way of discussion between the 2 steels.... once I got into 300 or so blog reposts of the announcement cold steel actually made explaining the switch was due to lack of supply on the XHT, and down in the comments of some of those blogs I ran across more people dismayed with the change than happy for it.... based on that info and the general feeling that going to S35 was a downgrade, however minor.... I went ahead and placed the order for the Frenzy in OD green with the XHT steel.
The knife supplier in question only had 1 of the color options available in the XHT and all 3 in S35v ....the 1 option in XHT was the OD which was the color I had my heart set on anyway so it kinda lined up like it was " ment to be " ...... if nothing else the discontinued steel option and apparently low production numbers of the Frenzy in XHT may make the knife more collectable one day.....kinda like the old stuff in Carbon5 is today.
Maybe not the right decision, but that's the one I made.... hopefully it was the right decision after all LOL
