Which stones for setting edge on 1080? (Hapstone)

I'm looking to invest in my first guided system, which will be used for setting the initial edge on the knives I'm making out of 1080. I was wondering what stone set I should be looking at? I know that on Gritomatic they suggest AO or boride for softer steels, but I don't know if it matters that I'll be using it to create the edge.
