Which subforum is appropriate for talking about where to talk about knives/makers?

Is this the appropriate subforum to ask where to talk about topics if we aren't sure where that may be? My thread asking about an alternative to the Kershaw subforum was moved here, but then it was locked, so I'm not sure if this is the approved place either.

Also, since I was asking more generally than just about Bladeforums (or at least that was and is my intention) this subforum doesn't seem appropriate either.

Basically, is there an appropriate subforum on Bladeforums where my thread "Alternative to the Kershaw subforum?" wouldn't have been moved or locked?
 
The Reason your "Alternative to the Kershaw subforum" got moved to tech support is that's where site technical questions belong.
The reason it got locked is because the subject has the nasty habit of bring out trolls.

There is no place on bladeforums where you may discuss Kershaw knives in the same context as in their now defunct forum.
Members may discuss Kershaw products in the General Discussion forum now. They may not, however, derail discussions with commentary on their displeasure of the Kershaw subforums closing.

I for one don't blame Kershaw one bit for their wishing to shut the forum down. Moderating a forum is not easy. It is often an unpleasant job with
very little reward or recognition for the positives it brings. If anyone wants to place blame, it should lie squarely on the shoulders of those whom lack the forethought or polite manners to act in public as civilized human beings.

Ah. I didn't consider it to be a site technical question because I was hoping that there might be answers not relating to this site. I.e., that someone would tell me of a forum on another site else where most of the Order of KAI and other regular Kershaw commenters had regrouped.

Given that broader(originally intended yet not explicit) interpretation of my question (not as a "site technical question,") which BF subforum would be the appropriate place be to ask a reframed and more precise and explicit version of the question?

Again, General Knife Discussion would be the next best suitable option. If the threads draws trolls and gets derailed, they get locked down. It's in everyones best interest to discuss the topic maturely and calmly.
 
Bladeforums is not the right place to discuss other websites. You are on your own finding which if any might have a Kershaw forum.
