should I purchase ??
I have the E2 Exec with the KL1 adapter, but I'am looking at something to replace it. Thinking of either the C2 or the 6P. I think they are basically the same, excpet the C2 has a clip ?? Or am I mistaken.
I would use the light as an EDC, both in shorts and jeans, plus possibly at work (military). I guess having a clip is nice, unless it comes with, or I can find, a sheath that fits it well.
Appearance is not a priority, but would not want to spend more than the cost of an A2 ish ~~ $up to 130.00 or so. Yea, I know Surefire sells the A2 for way more, but I did see it a bit cheaper elsewhere.
Or, do you guyz recommend a different light ??
Would actually love to stay below $ 100.00, if possible. I've seen both the C2 and 6P for $ 80.00 and on down in price.

You can find deals on M2s from time to time on ebay. I got a new-in-box M2 for under $100.

There is also E-to-C adapter that lets you use the heads from the bigger 2-cell lights on an E battery pack (of course you'd need the bigger head). It makes for an ugly, but versatile system.

How about a SureFire L4?

If you go to the Dealer section of CPF, I believe the prices are about $130.

You ask about the differences between the 6P and C2. They both come with the P60 Lamp Assembly and require two SF123A batteries for 65Lu/60min output.

The 6P-BK is SureFire's "Original" model - simple:

SureFire also offer it in Satin Grey (aka Gun Metal Grey):

The C2-BK has a PocketClip and a CombatGrip:

However, the Hard Anodised version (C2-HA) is far more durable:

Personally, I would get an L4 for EDC. If I was going to get a standard sized SureFire two cell, I would get the G2Z-BK:

i have a M2,M3,C2HA,Z2,Z3,M4 and a E2eHA, carry the E2eHA more than any others.

Why?

its lighter and almost as bright, much easier to carry, just always seem to grab the E2eHA

#2 would be the C2HA, another excellent light.

i like the models w/the pocket clips vs the lanyards for edc myself, never have found a neat way to wrap the lanyard around the light body, what else do ya do just let it dangle?? very handy to hold the light securly but not good for edc, use them myself as lights for the house myself.

I use a C2 Centurion as my EDC light. The 6P is a great light, but the C2 is much better for EDC. The circumfrence of the C2 is smaller than the 6P where the fingers grip the flashlight because of the combat grip. Even if you get a 6P with a pocket clip, the C2 is easier to hold. The C2 is a Z2 with a pocket clip. It is true that the C2 is bigger than an E2, but not by much. The E2 is 4.5" long, 4 oz., and has a bezel diameter of 1". The C2 is 5.1" long, 5 oz., and has a bezel diameter of 1.25". I carry my C2 in my left front pocket and I never think about it untill I need it. If you need a lanyard, you can always buy one for it later. I wish my Inova X5T had a pocket clip. IMHO, go with the C2.

I have the E1/KL1, L4, 6P, G2Z, M2, M3, M6, and 10X. I highly recommend the G2Z as an EDC light because it's lightweight, shock resistant, inexpensive, and super tough. It has the combat grip, lockout tailcap, pyrex lens, and 120 lumens P61 lamp option.

As I've mentioned in other posts, the G2Z + RipOffs CO-30 holster is the only light that managed to supplant the 6P + Surefire holster as my belt EDC light. You might think that the L4 would be a more compact EDC, but the L4 + RipOffs CO-124 holster is the same size (if not larger) than the G2Z + RipOffs CO-30 holster. Shocking.

G2Z. :D

Before I answer, what are your priorities? Blinding light, battery/bulb life, etc. Overall, I like the versatility of the A2. Also ARC is coming out with a new light in October, so you may want to hold off. I agree that the E2e is sort of superfluous at this time with the A2 and L4 as options. If you just want a brighter light and don't care so much about batteries or bulbs, you can get a higher output bulb assembly for the E2, runs somewhere between 50-65 lumens (I forget the exact specs).

You can't go wrong with any of the 2-cell Surefires. I'd suggest a G2, cost you about 30-35 bucks. Get a couple, just in case...

I have a G2 and an L4. I was going to get an E2E-HA but spent the extra dough on the L4. The bright white light is awesome, as well as the spot/flood beam.
