I understand that museums are just about the only places where a sword collector can have a good view of some of the finest sword pieces in the world.

So where are some of these museums located?

Anyone has any names?

One note many museums dont display their sword collections, but instead have them in cold storage. They will bring out collections for researchers (the main reason for their existence to help researchers), but one hears so many bad stories of sword abuse done by museums. Particularly things like mixing up scabbards, improperly cleaning, etc... Alota museums also know less than what they would like you to think, about what they have. You can try calling your local museums and asking if they have swords in storage, and can claim that your writing a book. You may be surprised.

Hi.

It might help to know where you are currently located. Maybe then I might have a suggestion or two for you.

The Von Klienbusch(sp) collection in the Philadelphia Museum of Art is excellent.
