Which to buy?

So, my awesome girlfriend got me a gift card to the Spydie store for my birthday. The problem I'm having is choosing which one to buy. I have it narrowed down to the Chaparral (titanium version), the Techno, the Szabo, the Chokwe, Air, Military... You get the idea. I can't choose! Help me pick, tell me which you would choose and why. :)

Price isn't an option, dream big!

I consider the Manix 2 XL the best value for the money..Check it out and see if it fits your needs and wants...
Best of luck,

For me I'd recommend the Techno I love the form, the fit & finish and the steel - bear in mind it also packs almost as much cutting edge as a Native in a much shorter package.

That said one of the things that I like about the Native is the lack of a Spydie-hole 'Hump' so I did a little adjustment on mine and thinner the 'snout' a bit too (& changed out the backspacer for Tan G10 to blend better with my workwear).

Feels unique to me and meet my needs perfectly!

P.S. Don't know why my images are upside-down but if they are driving you nuts - click on them and you should see them correctly(!)

I would probably get the Techno. I love mine. I also have a carbon fiber Chaparral and it is super nice too, so I can imagine the Ti version would be great.

Out of those two, I think the Techno looks "cooler" and the Chaparral looks "nicer/fancier." Fit and finish on both of them is super.

Techno is always in my watch/coin pocket and a larger knife accompanies it most of the time.

If you actually want to use the knife for edc or utility. Don't buy the Szabo. I got one and it was way too impractical for edc or utility. The carbon fiber handle isn't very grippy. It was my most hated knife until I had sold it.

Hairless,

Interesting choice on username. I'll be carrying it, but I don't necessarily plan on using it hard. If people keep posting pretty pictures of the Techno I'll probably end up with that one, haha.

Salmonkiller,

I have a manix, and it's plenty of knife. I don't see needing the XL, though I will keep it in mind.

Thanks!

I'd go with the Techno. To me it seems like the most useful out of there. I've had a lust for small but powerful small blades lately

that's an eclectic mix. I'd go Air personally. I think it would make a perfect companion to my m4 Millie.

But any Spydie fan without a Millie should really snag one.

Get the Techno. If I have the funds then I would have one.

78LilRed, I haven't sharpened my Techno yet, but it looks like you have. How does the XHP sharpen up, fairly easily?

I love the way it sharpens up, it will take some time if you plan to lay the bevel back as seen in my picture though. DMT Coarse/Fine was used.

Go with the Chokwe. Why? They are discontinued, and it is one you should have in your collection. I bought a second one when I found out they were being discontinued. It is a truly unique knife, and if you are even considering it I would jump on it. It is a nice (largish) sized knife with awesome ergonomics that is part of the "ethnic" series. Here is my first one with a different clip on it. It comes with a nice black hourglass with a Spyderco logo on it, but I like a deeper carry so I put that Ti clip on it. The Southard is another one I would recommend, and the Stretch is Spyderco must imo. If price is no option, could you get more than one? For the price of a Southard, you could get two or three nice lower priced knives.

Can't go past the spyderco military, great blade shape, good length and decent handle.
Don't like that the pocket clip can't be changed to carry tip up but that's not a biggie.
