about to hit up the book store.. i know bad day to shop... any way ive already bought the bible of knifemaking wayne goddard's $50 knife shop.
should i buy his other book wounder of knifemaking. or Custom Knifemaking: Ten Projects from a Master Craftsman by Tim McCreightskip to next title.

Mace you own both these books and i did get to take a fast glance at them
both at our last get together. which do you think.

im getting my wisdom teeth out tomarrow and need suttin to do for like 4 days.

Vin,
Didn't you take the one with the ten projects? I thought I gave that to you.

Dude, when you go to the book store just get what they got. Also go to the magazine rack and look for some of the knife mags.......look by the hunting and gun mags.

"The Wonder of Knifemaking" is an excellent book. It's kind of a collection of small articles reprinted from Blade over the years about LOTS of stuff. If they have it, grab a copy.

yah i ordered both books neither were there.... so i bought the best of the 3 blacksmithing books they had there..The Complete Modern Blacksmith by
Alexander G. Weygers. the Book shows mainly how to make tools. from a screw driver to pliers and every thing in between. also a little bit on tempering. even how to make a cleaver. :) for 19.95 it doesnt look like a bad book.

You will like that book! If you learn how to make tools, knives will be easier. And you will always need tools to make knives.

thats why i picked outa the other 3 they show like hardware and art stuff.. this was like heres how u make a bunch of tools works for me:)

The Complete Modern Blacksmith is a good book. You can never go wrong by learning more blacksmithing if you are working on being a bladesmith. You'll be able to make tools rather than buying them, and you will also be able to make nice gifts for people who don't want knives :)

Vin,
Nice score on the blacksmith book. I can't find that book w/ the ten projects... maybe Dan or Joe grabed it.
Good luck with the teeth tomorrow.

The Complete Modern Bladesmith ... Haven't read it, but it strikes me as a rather ambitious title.

its so far proving to be a decent book.

i know i put the book back in the pile before i left.
but maybe joe grabbed it. i dont think dan got it. but any way ill bring this book next time let you take a look at it.

as far this teeth things its proven its self to not be very fun. i man'd thru 4 impacted teeth with out gettin put to sleep. i kinda thought my doctor liked his job way to much. smileing a allot with every sound of crunching tooth.

I just bought "the complete bladesmith" by JPH. I found (as a beginner) it was well written, and covers more topics than any book i have gotten so far. Amazon had it new for 28 bucks with free shipping!! I would reccomend it.
