Hi All,

I'm in sort of a bind here..I've got two prized rat's that I hate to part with, but for personal reasons one of them has to go..Which would you keep?

D2 Bog Dog, w/mudder handle

or

D2 Ganza Dog Skinner D/C with micarta/G-10 handle

That DC Dog Skinner is sweet!!! One sold recently on the exchange. Didn't last long either...
 
Also, whichever one I keep will be a user. Besides the fact that I could use the money, I am also thinning out my safe queens in place of user blades. Just something to keep in mind..:D
 
Because it is a custom I chose the skinner but I really like the D2 Bog Dog style better.
 
I'd keep the Bog Dog–it's a bad mudder. They're both nice knives, but I would never skin a dog. Besides, the Dog Skinner's probably worth more.

Yes it did! It lasted a whole week before I pulled the trigger. :)

I'd go with the skinner. Only b/c I'm not a fan of the mudder handle. Not as grippy as regular Res-C handles. Too slickery.
 
My vote - keep the Dog Skinner, unless you absolutely have to have the money it could bring. It's such a classy knife.

I really like the mudder grips, but if that's the main reason for keeping the BD, then you can still find the SS4's coming up on the exchange sometimes at fairly reasonable prices for INFI, so it's feasible that the mudders could be replaced later, just not in D2.
 
This is a tough one...All good points by the way. The Bog Dog definitely does feel better in my hand and is a tad bit lighter..I'm sure thats because of the handle materials, though I think the DS is a bit thicker stock as well..Anyhow, keep em' comin..I'm still undecided.
 
It would be (was) easier for me to part with my Bog Dog than with either of the Dog Skinners.

I've got one of the same Dog Skinner customs you're talking about - very few of them out there. It is a user for me! ;)

It's easy... Keep the Bog Dog... And sell ME the Dog Skinner!!! ;);) :D

Keep the Dog Skinner!:D I just got one of the older ones on the exchange and man is it a sweet knife! I've never handled a Bog Dog, but have had a Scrap Yard SS4 with the mudder grip. It was a nice knife, but I prefer the heft and feel of a completely full tang with micarta or g-10 handle scales. This is just my opinion though, so keep whatever feels better to you!:thumbup:
 
Keep the Bog Dog, it's one hell of a good work knife and the satin finish will repel rust much better than D/C. Plus the Mudder handle takes out the risk of tang rust from hand sweat.
