Which vendor to buy a CRK Sebenza?

I was awestruck by the design of the Sebenza the other night that I decided I wanted to throw my hard earned cash into buying one. From people's experience, which vendor would give me a good deal on a Sebenza and good customer service regarding quick shipping? I was looking at Bestknives.com and they had it in stock and price was lower than retail BUT I wanted to see what other previous purchasers of this fine knife have to say in where to purchase one. Aloha and mahalo in advance.

I'd try Plaza Cutlery or True North Knives. Great places to get Sebenza.

Or simply directly from Chris Reeve, best service on this planet when it comes to knife purchase...

Plaza Cutlery in Calif. - family owned friendly place
Only Fine Knives - Shannon is my favourite seller
CRK - Sean and Heather are excellent but you have to wait as compared to the sellers above.

I agree with PiterM. I would buy from one of these 3. You can't go wrong buying straight from CRK.

I think if you order before 2 PM or so on a weekday, they will ship it out that day. I might be wrong about the exact time, but I know they do it before a certain time of day.

New Graham Knives and True North Knives are my personal favorites. Great service. I've also had very smooth dealings with Knife Art.

Thanks guys for your input. I should have mentioned in the initial posting that I was looking for a website that I could purchase online. After a bit more research I still came back to Bestknives.com because they had the best price on the Sebenza I was looking for. Another reason I went with this vendor was the fact that they gave me several shipping options including USPS which is cheaper to ship to Hawaii. I appreciate you guys taking the time and giving your input. Aloha and mahalo!

I received my Sebenza today! AWESOME. Bestknives.com really has some great prices and fast shipping. This is the second order I placed with them and if they keep up the good work, I highly suggest people to try them out.

Which Sebbie did you get? A large regular? A small classic? One with graphics? One with micarta inlay? DO tell!! ANd I offer you a hearty CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase of a Sebbie! PS: All the sites that were mentioned WERE places to buy online, by the way.

As far as I can tell, Only Fine Knives does not do online ordering, although they show their wares on their site. You have to call them. I'll put a plug in for them - ordered a small regular with polished blade on Saturday, in my hands yesterday (Wednesday). My first Sebbie - very nice. My wife was not as upset as I thought she'd be, although she still does not know just how much it cost. She knows it was a lot. But I used money received as a gift from a client (with a suggestion to buy a new toy), so I can't complain.

Aloha Knifecollector. I bought just a plain jane large Classic Sebenza. Nothing real fancy. I also ordered from Bestknives.com a CRK belt sheath. Of all the websites I visited, I got the best price from Bestknives.com. Over the weekend I also purchased a new small Classic Sebenza with micarta inlays from eBay again at a substantial discount.

When I got the large Sebbie, I removed the pocket clip. The knife fits better in sheath that way. The small Sebenza also will fit nicely in the belt sheath because the sheath is adjustable. Thanks again for all the suggestions. Now you can add Bestknives.com to the list of great Chris Reeve knife vendors.

Hmmm... Don_M : what the hell clients do you have ?? ;)

Most are typical (I do consulting as a chemical engineer), but this one is a real find. She has been more gracious than any other by a large margin. I wish all clients were like this one.

Mauiblue: Congrats!!! Your Sebbies sound most excellent!!I really like the CR belt sheath, because I can use it for either my large or small Sebbie. I use the leather CR slip sheaths for my Night Sky and my Umfaan.

Congratulations on your new Chris Reeve Knives.

If you take off the pocket clip, you may want to order the clip insert to plug up the space left out after removing the clip.

You can order these from a dealer of directly from CRK. They come in both Large and Small and you can choose a polished screw or blasted.

Take care, Neil

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. Neil, I did order the clip inserts a few days ago from Chris Reeve & Co. Really nice folks there. I even ordered a T-shirt! The knife is all what you owners say it is. It is very well made and not to mention a work of art. I won't be afraid to use it for all my EDC needs.
