Hello. My English is not good, so I'm sorry.I wanted to buy victorinox, but I couldn't decide. The models I have in mind are fieldmaster and swisschamp. My goal is to carry a diary.Weight is not a problem for me. I have a question about Swisschamp.
1-is it useful?
2-How does it fit in the hand?
3-How to use it?
4-does the fact that it is wide create problems?
5-is it a useful product?
6-the knife is far to the left.Is it a problem when using this.(the knife is very important to me)
I have about 8-13 months to get it.
Thanks.

1-is it useful?
Yes

2-How does it fit in the hand?
It's the 91mm model which is one of the most popular handle length for Victorinox, so quite well(at least for my Medium-Large hand on mechanix glove)

3-How to use it?

4-does the fact that it is wide create problems?
For me, no. Maybe it's slightly wide if you want to hold onto it for many, many long hours; but as a quick fix, I find it alright.

5-is it a useful product?

All 91mm Victorinox has all the blades at one side, for me, that's never a problem.

These are all based on personal preference and experience, your mileage may vary.

I have the Champ Plus and carry it a Leatheman cordura belt pouch. Great knife/toolset.

comis comis did a great job answering your questions. I carry a Swiss champ daily and have for a close to a year now. I am lost with out it. It is a very handy knife to have but it is a little wide in hand. But like comis said for a quick fix tool it’s not a big deal at all. Another great feature is the pen in the scales, it has saved me more times than I can count!

Thank you for your answer. My hand is medium.I can use it frequently when necessary.Comfort is very important to me.
Could you please send me a video or photo that you hold in your hand.

I think I will not use most of its features (fish tool, magnifying glass, metal saw ...).comfort is important to me.I mostly use pencils, knives, scissors, saws, bottle openers, tweezers, screwdrivers or pliers in between.these make my decision most difficult.Do you really think it makes sense to buy

Based on what you need, I think the 'lightest' option is either Handyman(6 layers of tools, weight: 155g) or Huntsman(4 layers, weight 97g, but without the pliers).

Just a friendly reminder, if you want the 'pen' as an option, please get a 91mm model with the 'Plus' scale which will host the pen in the scale. Regular 91mm without the 'Plus' scale do not have the pen.

Choosing what SAK is like asking what is your favorite color, everyone is different and it's just personal preference. For myself, I think a 3-4 layers SAK do carry quite nicely in the pocket, and it covers most of my tool need for a quick fix most of the time. But having said that, I too have seen people EDC a Swisschamp for years and loves it.

thanks for your answer.Do you think it is suitable for daily carrying?
Sorry for the late reply. In a belt pouch like in my photo, it would be OK for EDC but not if it rides in a pants pocket (for me anyway). I EDC a 74mm Executive and a Benchmade 535BK Bugout. The Champ Plus is carried in my glovebox so I wasn't very clear on what I said earlier. I grab it for dayhikes and bike rides.
