Looking to carry a watch and i have these two as an option to carry. I do a lot of camping, swimming, fishing, hunting, hiking and sleeping (haha). So which do you watch wearers think would be the better one? I know the Gshock is one hell of a watch and has a ton of features, but on the other hand the seiko charges itself and is made of metal. Both are used and are awaiting my choosing.

I have the Casio 5600 and like it a lot. For your stated use my choice would be the Casio. Simple and rugged and a classic.

Casio 5600 for sure. Maybe the new screwback, solar, atomic model.

I'm no expert on watches, but the Casio looks a Hell of a lot cooler to me, if that matters to you i would go with the Casio, good luck.

Wow, nobody for the watch that's 7x more expensive! Hmm, maybe i'll go with the gshock. How accurately does it keep time?

Take a look at this watch. Its a Dakota ION. I've had mine for about 2 years, still on the same battery. Only about $50. I wear it every day. It gets dunked in just about everything from pool water to motor oil. I've been very pleased with it.

I also put a Maratech band on it. Very nice combo.

You can't beat any of the Tough Solar/Atomic Time G-Shocks, No batteries, always accurate without you ever having to set the time, and a ton of features. All different prices, styles and feature sets- pick the one you want and you're good to go for about the next 10-20 years. Oh yeah, and you can't break them, drown them or wear them out either.

Can you tell I'm a satisfied customer?

Thanks guys! I went with the G-shock. It's a neat watch. How accurate is it as far as slowing down or speeding up. It drives me nuts when watches are fast, i'm a very precise man!

That depends entirely on luck. Some run within a 3 or 4 seconds per month. I've seen some DW-5600e's run 30 to 40 seconds fast per month. The good news is that they can be adjusted for accuracy. You just turn the trimmer screw to speed up or slow down the timekeeping.

So i've been wearing it for a while and i like it. my only complaint is the wrist band isnt that comfortable.

Yes, the DW-5600E will take strap adapters. The best fitting strap seems to be a 24mm Zulu 2-buckle strap.
