Which Watch?

Got the great news that i'm graduating first class which means that i'll have some money to buy a nice automatic watch.

I've been looking at all the watch shops here in Malaysia and am pretty tempted with the new Omega Planet Ocean. Anyone got any suggestions? I've also looked at the IWC Aquatimer which is a beautiful watch but way out of my budget. Anyway, i'm looking for a nice watch with a bracelet like an Omega SMP and another cheaper military style watch with a leather strap. So does anyone have any suggestions on what i could get.

I looked at some Ball watches and they look quite nice and have those ultra bright luminous dials. Anyone have any experience with them? I'm eyeing one of the leather strap ones.

If you don't want to spend your whole wad on just one watch, how about a Seiko "Black Monster"?
 
I have been wearing a seiko orange monster i got for a steal off of ebay for about a month now. Automatic and beefy, I love it.

If you are looking at dive watches like the planet ocean. I would take a look at ORIS, I have three, and in my opinion are as nice as my omegas. I also like the Seiko black or orange monster(or any of the seiko dive watches). They are not as nice, but not even close in price to what you have been looking at, and they are very good quality for the money. For a cheaper military style watch, I would look at Seiko again, or maybe something in the Hamilton Khaki series.

I'm not sure which Seiko Diver that one is, the gang at the Seiko Citizen Forum would know, but I'm pretty sure it's not an OM. (Unless you had custom work done.) The bezel is the big distinguishing feature of the Monsters, be they Black, Orange or Yellow.
