Which way?

I think there are two ways for Buck Knives.
One is inexpensive utility&tactical knives.
The other is high quality traditional outdoor knives.

I found Nighthawk or Interpid is as tough as Strider's knives, but much more inexpensive.
In Japan, Nighthawk is $70 or less,Interpid is $200 or less. But Strider's knives are more than $800!
To talk about toughness, such a great margin? I feel NO! I can't understand why such a good, affordable and usual knives are not paid attention.
If Buck Knives go this way,Please try harder for New bayonet comparetion for OICW.It is great chance to appeal quality and affordability of Buck tactical knives.
And,I wish better tactical folder as good as Microtech-Socom but more inexpensive.

But,If Buck Knives choos the other way, It is good too.Everybody knows Buck Knivs one of the best in this way.

Members,Which is better way you think?

Well Chic, I think Buck is already trying to tread a middle path, as evidenced by their models like the Intrepid, Odyessy and the new Strider collaboration. I think with the addition of a premium steel to the Nighthawk and maybe the Intrepid, they would have a product equal to any high end production tactical and still could hit a lower price point. I've seen and handled Strider fixed blades and admit that they are sturdy well made knives, but I agree that they seem a bit overpriced (IMO). I think Buck could kick some serious butt if they put out some more fixed blades in BG42 and ATS34, especially in the "tactical" area. Heck, they don't have to call them combat knives, just camp knives, right?

I am suprised at Buck Strider! If Buck Knives will cooperate with Strider,it maybe result great tactical knife!
About calling, some tactikal knives like tanto blade is special for tactical.Tanto blade is not useal to skinning not as Bowie knife.
But,best combut knife is nice camp knife too.As they don't call suck knives combut knife,I think.
