So im gonna buy a chopper/machete and im down to these 3 choices

Condor Golok
Condor Boomslang
Fiddleback Forge 12" Machete

Its going to be primarily used to chop heavier stuff on my riduculously overgrown land up here in Idaho so take that into consideration as well.

I was going to do a poll, but apparently this forums version of vBulletin doesnt have that feature?

Personally, I'd go for the Condor Golok for large heavy chopping.

Just to throw a few more ideas out there, I would also check out the Kabar cutlass machete and the kabar grass machete for those types of uses, as well as the ontario 12in lite machete.

I'd go with Fiddleback over stamped steel any day.

Sounds strange that you are even putting those together for comparison.

The Fiddlebacks use a blade from Imacasa, I do believe ;) So, they are basically each using the same parent company, with the Fiddlebacks having a better handle. (Although I haven't handled a Boomslang, I'd imagine the handle isn't as good as Andy's.)

Either way, I'd get the one from Andy.

I have yet to use a Fiddleback(I want one really bad) but the Boomslang is an awesome buy,for the money and the sheath is super nice.....
