Which year did buck strider switch to the less rough G10 scales?

I am trying to find an older buck strider folder with the rougher (sharper edge) G10 scales. I found a buck strider folder from an online retailer with the older yellow box. Does the older yellow box indicate that it is the older G10 scales? When did Buck change from the yellow box to the newer box design?
 
The newer boxes are all yellow with Buck written all over it. We changed the scales when I started working here, about two years ago. So about April or May of 03
