So for sometime I been saving up to buy the knife at the top of my want list. But in my case there are two at the top and I havent been able to pick between them. I just about have the money saved now and need help picking which to get first. The knives are the ZT 0600 and ZT 0777 M390. I dont see myself using either of these knives buying as part of my collection to be safe queen, I have many other knives to use. So which one would you pick???

Buying a knife just to look at?

I like the blade shape of the 0777 much more than the 0600 so my choice would be the 0777.

People do that too.

As for which ZT, I'd pick the 600 if you're just going to collect.

You'll be amazed at how many people in this world collect things.

When it comes to knives, Im guilty as well... Preneed replacements of knives long disco'd, LE's that I only have one of and cannot get another, Forum and anniversary knives... you get the idea. Not afraid to use my knives and most in my collection get used but there are those special ones.

In regards to ZT's, it's funny how they went from solely hard use tactical genre to museum pieces that are still hard use at the same time as well... They're expanding their horizon to cover other genres, just funny how hard use turned to collector safe queen but at the same time still a tank knife begging to be used lol, of course its the customers that are doing this, forced in part by LIMITED edition numbers.

I know some people dont believe in safe queens or collecting and that fine I respect that but I do believe in these things. I collect limited edition knives like many others and even limited production. Im not I rich or well off person so to spend 500$ on a knife and use it would be very hard for me and more so when there is only say 1,000 ever made ( example) These knives I hope to collect and pass down one day to my kids or someone else who will understand what they have. I really do like the blade design of the 0777 just alittle more but I like the overall size and handle of the 0600 alittle more. It really is hard choice to me

For a safe queen, I'd take the 0600. I really like the look of it, but have to admit that it's not probably one I'd reach for in a hard-use scenario . . . which is what I'd use the 0777 for.

You go, JJ. You're on a serious roll here. And as more of a collector than a user, I'm loving it! :D

If it's going to sit in a safe, why does it matter?

I'd just pick the one that you think will have the higher resale value and call it a day.

Seriously, why buy more knives when you already have perfectly good users? I only use about ten percent of mine and wouldn't be spending more money just to cut something, I can already cut just fine with my users.

I've vote to buy the 0777. I already have a couple 0600s, and I love em. RJ Martin sure does design one heck of a good knife.

not a collector myself but finding more and more that some knives are taken out of their hiding places , admired and promptly put back ... my preciousssssss ...

own a ZT0600BLK , it's a keeper but the 0777 is also a grail of mine , halfway there! If you can find both , get them!

Each to their own, if you can afford to buy these limited editions just to use more power to you. I have the 0777 and the 0600 and I don't use either, I just couldn't justify paying that much to cut stuff. Not when I already have more than enough users, out of my 250 knife collection.
