Which ZT would work best for me?

Ya'll, I got a birthday coming up on the 19th of January. And, I'm thinking about getting myself a ZT. The two I'm looking at that are readily available on line is the 300, and the 350. I may even consider a 301 or 302 with the striped blades. Those of you that have both models which do you prefer, and why?

The other one I saw on Kershawguy's site that I might consider is the 550. But, I know NOTHING about S35V. Is it any better than S30V? And, size wise, how does it compare to the 300 and 350 for pocket carry?

I've never owned, held, or seen a ZT in person. So, ya'lls opinions are gonna help me decide on which one I may try to get. I like to hunt, fish, and do lots of chores in the garden and with my animals. I raise chickens. I like to camp. And, I like to cook and do lots of food prep with my knives. So, which ever knife I carry with me those are the type of tasks it will be used for. When I'm off duty I typically wear bib overalls. So, I usually don't have a belt on around the house if that makes any difference on carrying a knife. I don't know if the 300 is too large for pocket carry or not. I carry my G10 Speed Bump in the top right pocket on my bib, and it rides fine there. And, it's easily within reach and easy to deploy when needed.

So, what do you guy's think? Which one do you think would suite me best? This is one time I feel like a total newb, not knowing anything about which one would suite me best.:o:D

Hopefully a couple pictures will help:

You speed bump would be the same size as the spec bump in this pic (5th one, right in the middle). The tanto bladed ZT is a 400 and the other ZT is the 200.

Moving on to this picture, the 400s are at the top, the 200 is on the bottom, right hand side. There is a 551 (same size as the 550) in the middle on the left. The 350 is in the middle on the right. And the 301 is on the bottom, left (I hear it's the same size as the 300).

Taking those 2 pics together, I believe the speed bump is about the same length as the 350 and 550. The bump is also ~ 1/2 an ounce lighter than those two knives. So if you're comfortable with the bump, I think either the 350 or 550 would work out just fine for you. The 300/301 is a bit bigger in length, bigger in width and depth, and heavier (obviously). It's quite a knife! The 350 and 550 are completely different knives though. The opening, blade shape, handle shape, finish are all different.
 
Thanks for the pics to compare Leak Freek!!! Man, I really appreciate that. I do like the size of the Speed Bump. It fits my hand well, and I don't feel like it's too big. I like the looks of the handles on both the 550 and 350. I've become quite a fan of G10. I notice also that there are a few options on blade steel for the 350 on Kershawguy's site.
 
I prefer the 350 for EDC @ work. It is smaller, lighter and less expensive. I have given a couple as gifts and I don't feel bad about using the crap out of mine @ that price point. It is lighter in the pocket than the 300 series, but I really like the 300 series for outdoors activities since it is robust enough to edge out carrying more than one knife for multiple duties.
 
I have both.......may be over kill but I carry my ZT301 in a custom Tie tactical sheath on my strong side and I carry the 0350 clipped in my right side pocket......would practical purposes the 0350 is the way to go.....don't even realize it is there...but the 0301......you can sense it's presence...lol

0301 all the way man. I have 2, thanks to Thomas, and have put it through multiple combat operations flawlessly. It's a beast that kicks ass and wants to work. 0350 is great also my wife carries one and its a great knife if you can't carry all that beef in your pocket.
 
Guy's, this evening when I got home I had the most wonderful surprise that I've ever had in my mail box. :D:D There was a white box in it. And, it was from a fella named Dave, Kershawguy Dave.:D:D I had a heck of a time getting it open cause I was so nervous. When I got it opened I was totally blown away because Kershaw Dave has gifted a ZT 350 to me!!:D:D:D:D I don't know what to say.......except WOW, WOW and THANK YOU DAVE!!!:D:D:D

I can't put this baby down!! I LOVE IT!!! It fits my hands perfectly, and my pocket. I REALLY DO LOVE IT DAVE!!! THANK YOU!!!:D:D This ZT 350 is AWESOME!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!:D:D

The generosity that I see from fellow human beings is always encouraging! If only everyone in the world was willing.to give....... I think we would be much better off.

wow, awesome stuff. I like seeing that. I just saw this thread and was gonna vote for the 0550, but seems the problem has been solved. Awesome
 
As to your original quandry, mley1, I'm going out on a limb, here... and suggest an 0350! Hmmmm, you already have one... there, problem solved!

Dave has 'gifted' me several times over the years. It always coincided with a PayPal charge - but always a bargain for the quality service - and product - received. Fine fellow. Congratulations!!
