While everyone was sassin and fussin look

It's considered a WSK? It doesn't seem to share the WSK characteristics other than the sawback. You know what I mean. No draw blade and all. Tell us more. What's the story as far as it's customness. The other handmade numbered ones aren't "customs"?

This is very interesting. I just recently read the thread that discussed who had dibs on the WSK design, Tom Brown or him. He came forward and explains the whole thing. Funny thing is that he has a total of 32 posts here, yet claimed he's a major lurker. Very cool.

I can only add that I hate you in the (k)nicest of ways and would like to know the best way to end up as the beneficiary for that AWESOME piece of cutlery.;)

Congrats Bro, very sweet score!

I was watching that knife. I have seen it in the past while researching the forums for info on Beck knives. Was thinking about bidding but just couldn't pull the trigger that day. Happy you got it!

I saw it too, but couldn't afford it because I got one a while earlier! Great snag from a class act. Dave Beck is as good as they come. Here's mine, about a 9" long, 1/8" thick blade:
