That Busse Custom Shop SJ sold for a song (you know where)!!!

Now I'm super bummed out!

Whoever snatched that one up, congrats!!!
That is an AWESOME score!!

Are you talking about the Desert SJ or the SJ LE?

.

The swayback SJ-v. I took a shot at it, but came up low. I liked it, but wasn't crazy on it. Had I not thrown a bid to send it over 5, then that would have been snatching it for a song! LOL

I'm not big on the design either but an uncoated SJ with beautiful slabs, at that price...

Can't help but feel bad for not even trying.

I like my GenIII handles to have a bit of junk in the trunk though. It's gotta have a butt.

That's the big reason why I didn't jump on it. I like them to have a butt and I'm not really big into variants.:foot:

Could you tell if it was dried out black paper or black linen?

.

To my eyes they look like very dry black paper.

The only butt-less GenIII I'm actively seeking ATM is a XXXL Nick. In that configuration I think it looks pretty good. I think I could have easily justified ~500 for this beauty though!

I thought it would look nice next to the SHSJ LE i got from Skunk last week. Will post pictures of both when it arrives.

You're on a roll grey menace!

Make sure you oil those slabs once they arrive.

This topic reminded me that I need to do the same - but for the life of me I can't find the mineral oil.

Thanks for the advise on oiling.Ya my moneys on a roll, its rolling right out of my pocket, but its either gold or Infi, looks like Infi is winning!

Oh, so YOU outbid me, huh??? Well, congrats to ya! Yeah, that definitely looks like black paper, and should pop back to black with a little mineral oil TLC. :)
