While I'm waiting on getting my BK9....I'll show you my BK2

So this BK2 is the first Becker I purchased. It wasn't long after I had it in hand that it got stripped. I didn't sand it and instead had it bead blasted. I then did a vinegar patina, which turned out really well.

I have to credit the bead blasting for the way the finish turned out and I highly suggest anyone that wants to do a patina of any type bead blast first. The blasting almost completely got rid of the tool marks, with the exception of some on the spine and around the non-sharpened edges.

Ok, ok pics...here you go:

As you can see it has been used since the patina was completed.

Also, the scales are new. If you saw my BK9 fighter thread I mentioned how I had some scales on order. Well, I decided that I'm ordering some G10 to do some custom scales for that project and went ahead and put these micarta scales from Tomar's on the BK2.

And of course I couldn't leave well enough alone and so I sanded the scales down a bit, which brought out the brown color I was hoping for.

Any questions just ask...

ETA: Oh, and sorry for the pics...I try and take better pics usually...these turned out a little blurry.

Since someone else is bound to ask, let's just get it out of the way. Can we see some more detail shots of that belt adapter thingy you made on the backside of the sheath? If I had to guess, aluminum sheet cut and drilled to proper sizes, then worked over with a dremel or something, but that would just be a guess.

Very nice work.

I figured that was coming :P

I'll get a pic from the back...but I'll be honest, it's ugly. Sort of a prototype that works well so I didn't take it off. It could use some cleaning up and painting. Its basically, as you stated, just an adapter that bolts to the four holes the belt loop did. It has slots both ways for horizontal or vertical carry. Works pretty good. But I just really can't make myself like plastic sheaths. Leather just suits me better.

Does your knife rattle now that you stripped it?I just stripped mine and now my knife rattles in my sheath,I must say I did not see that coming.

I dont think the micro thin coating being removed would cause the knife to rattle. just sayin

Well, and not only that, but the knife is held in place by the sheath where it "pinches" the grivory/scales. That wouldn't be affected by removing the coating either.
