While looking for one specific Sebenza, I end up with three!

I've been on the lookout for a Moonsong design Sebenza and while doing so, I can't believe or resist the others that have popped up for sale.

Top is a Gary House mosaic damascus 1 of 12
Middle is a modded large regular, loved how it looks similar to a LDC
Bottom is a 1999 small annual w/blued spirograph damascus and California buckeye burl wood, 1 of 1. I was told they only did one of the smalls w/blued damascus.

Searching for one knife is getting expensive, but certainly helping my collection.

Just curious if anyone else has had this happen, you're seeking one thing and get another.
Sometimes I wonder if the Moonsong will be all that I've hyped it up to be, and sometimes I think, nah I don't even want it anymore...but then I come to my senses and start looking again :)

Nice selection! I have always liked the looks of the LDC and hope to own one someday (or similar to yours)
 
That is how I probably bought 90% of my CRK. I am just looking and one pops up at a great price, but its not always the one I am looking for.
The moonsong is a nice sebenza as I had one, but there are patterns I like much more. It took me forever it seemed, but I found the Native American and a Stars and Stripes Sebenza. Both large regulars which you know I love and both came about when I least expected it. You will find a Moonsong when you least expect it, should I see one, I will let you know in a heartbeat.

Lisa-very nice looking knives, but darn I thought you had found 3 Moonsongs. A PM to buy one to follow. I tried to talk CRK into making one ,but they wouldn't bite. Good luck on the Moonsong hunt. I am sure you will be pleased when you find it.

I know what you mean. I was looking for a very plain small 21 Insingo for my first CRK. No Insingo yet, but I have two rather fancy small 21 on the way and looking at a few more. I need an intervention.

You have some beautiful pieces there, I can only imagine what you'll have acquired if it takes you a couple years to find that elusive Moonsong Sebenza.
 
Oh dear, I hope it doesn't take a couple of years, my purse couldn't handle that!

Now I think you need some zebra damascus.

Make me an offer I cannot refuse on those numbered Insingos and I will help you look for a Moonsong. ;) Actually, I am an information junkie so after first reading this topic I went into a time-warp searching for what a Moonsong was and then trying to find one. I found a bad copy somewhere in China, but mostly I found your posts everywhere looking for one. Is it the whole Moonsong package, the howling wolf or what? Because though I have a house full of salukis that do a fair amount of howling at the moon, the Moonsong does not push my obsession button. However, this process has made me thing of a few design variations that are starting to push my order-a-custom button.
 
It's the knife with the wolf howling at the moon...I just like it because I'm a dog person...I guess a dog howling at a fire truck would work for me too. :)
 
Oh, I found out what it was. I am just thinking out loud that maybe a custom graphic might be even more appealing to you. Or does it simply have to be a Moonsong?

Fire truck? How about a dog howling at the USPS truck instead? You know, the one delivering the new knife.
