A painting from an artist I started working for when I was 12. It was done the year Skunk was born. I had it carbon dated

Nice stuff Tony. Glad you like the coffee, wish I could taste it out of a real machine like that...

One of these days I'll make it back to Norcal (went to college for a few years up there many moons ago). I'll be in San Diego this fall, maybe I can convince the wife we need to fly up north for a few days. Lunde's pics from a few days ago got me longing for a trip to the coast.

Oh great, another BAD A$$ grinder!!! I think I should get some royalties for my name on that grinder though!!!

Just send me that knife on the counter and we will be square.

:D

Tony, What kind of coffee machine is that? How does the coffee come out? Is it better than using a press or just more convenient?

Hard to find these days... I have three :D

"The Riviera Espresso Machine, sometimes called 'La Riviera', was manufactured by Zacconi Guadenzio of Milan, Italy before the reorganization of the company into the Zacconi Workshop. Unfortunately, it has become an Orphan machine with little to no part support for the older models.
It is a wonderfully simple Spring Piston Home Espresso Machine to use and maintain, as the entire piston seal system is composed of 3 seals. It doesn't use a rod seal, the group to boiler seal is either a large flat teflon seal or a black high temp paper seal. Our machine, as shown, is missing the top dome and eagle but still works fine and makes great espresso.
There are at least 3 different machines which have been called Riviera. In addition to this spring piston machine, is a manual lever machine nearly identical to this one, also badged as Riviera, and a third Riviera which has no dome and eagle or pressure gauge. Modern Zacconi Workshop nomenclature for these machines is the Baby, the Baby Big, and the Riviera. Seals and gaskets and many repair parts for the new machines do not fit the original models. The seals are not interchangeable from the spring piston Riviiera to the manual lever Baby Riviera. "

That looks like a real MAN'S coffee to me. Shakes? Who cares!!!

And I even like the paintings ...
