I picked up this boot knife a while ago (thanks Stabber :thumbup
. Saw the pic and had to have it. Kind of weird, it's one of very few fixed blades in my collection and the only one that isn't forged. This one just called to me for some reason.
Alain's workmanship is astounding to a hack like me, and with a little work on the solder joint it would be perfect, in my uneducated opinion. Of course one is never enough and now I have an itch that can only be scratched by a subhilt (I blame STeven). I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how Keith's turns out.
Sadly my photography skills are not up to the task of bringing out the color in the rich maroon micarta.
