How much do you think a solid ebony block and 1'x10" ebony cutting board would cost bucks customers if produced? Heard it mentioned in a thread previously and think its a great idea...

And I'm not sure of the width at that point.

I've been in their store, and the wood they sell is amazing.
Not cheap, but very nice.

I would love to have a well equipped wood working shop.

Hard to beat a maple endgrain cutting board. If like it dark I’ve also done sapele end grain. Also, what’s with all the sap wood in that picture?
 
If you buy the ebony, I'll make one.

I've worked with ebony in the past making knife handles. Not only would I not want to pay for that much ebony, but I wouldn't want to work with that much ebony. I found it fiddly to work and kind of a pain to glue. An end grain Gabon ebony cutting board would be a striking black, but I'll stick to other woods.
