If I could afford another, I certainly would. What a great blade the RMD is.

Agreed. I'd guess these are the last of the RMDs we'll see at factory prices for many, many moons to come. Get 'em while you can!

Damn, I just can't say no to black paper. Too good of a deal to pass up!

I've been looking at getting a RMD for a month or so now, and almost pulled the trigger a few times. After seeing Eric's message last week about the availablity of some RMD's this week, I told myself that if I saw another opportunity to get one, I would.

So... I did!

My first Swamp Rat. Black with black canvas

Can't wait.

Varg Lobos you are making a VERY good choice. The ratmandu is a wonderful knife and you will be able to beat the tar out of it and it will still be okay. Good work bud!

Thanks for the nice words.

I promise pics when I get it. :D

I used mine some yesterday to clean a Deer and to get a idea how well it would perform in that role. It was very comfortable doing so and performed quite well. I have a HRLM coming for the specific purpose of skinning however, the RMD can certainly get the job done as well. It's a very good choice as a multi use knife and can perform many task. When I butcher the Deer, I will see how well it slices as I like to cut my meat in thin slices.

JayStock,
That sounds great! What time should I arrive for supper??:D

Super,
I suggest you show up right when the beer your bringing is properly chilled.;):D
Make sure to bring your favorite Swamp Rat as it is a keycode for our Venison n' Suds Speakeasy.

Ok Eric if you are going to keep finding these I guess I'll have to buy another.:)

Sent PM and paid in store for a Sage blade and Tan Handle

Thanks again

I got my HRLM today to go with my RMD. Wow! what a pair of great knives. I am thrilled with both of them. Took it out of the box and started cutting up Deer meat as my hands were already bloody and gave it a work out. That HRLM is gonna be a sweet skinning knife for sure.

ordered mine monday. just in time for a weekend camping trip!!!!!!!!!!! Chance of snow friday/saturday, cant wait!!!!!!!!!!! Knife should be here tomorrow I hope

Chogue 1980,
Congrats, and good move. I have been edc mine just about everyday. Let us know how well it does on your trip.

so my ratmandu arrived and wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt think I would really like the overall look of the knife, I was WRONG!!!! It's almost to pretty to use. Feels awesome in the hand and has a nice factory edge. I'm leaving the edge bone stock, just stuck it in a combat master sheath and strapped it to my backpack for this weekends camping trip. Figured best way to test it out was as it came from the factory. I have so much faith in it already that my trusty ESEE4 came out of the pack and is staying home. I seriously think I have a problem already loving a knife when I haven't even used it
