Right nice clean piece - and you're right; a beautiful piece of wood!

Should you ever take up damascus, that would be a nice "canvas" to present it with - a nice, clean, broad flowing blade and a very nice handle shape... Anybody up your way hunt with one of these? I'd be curious as to how it handles with such a sweep to the tip...

Nice job!

Thanks for the comments.

I don't yet make my own damascus but have some that I bought. I have been thinking of cutting one of these in damascus, your comments have helped me make up my mind on this, I'll cut one this week.

Where I live drop point hunters are the big thing for hunting knives. People elsewhere have said that they quite like this knife. I've always meant to keep one for myself but....

I feel that it would be a great knife for skinning as it has a real sweep to the blade. You just wouldn't want to use it to gut the animal!!! :D
