I just got home a few minutes ago. I noticed a white box and wondered what my wife had ordered. She is on an apron kick and I figured it was another. It was either that, or the organic makeup she has also grown fond of lately. Just in curiosty I turned the box over and saw a familiar name. I just thought, "Josh doesn't sell aprons...uh oh.":eek:

I remembered a pm stating he had lost his phone and needed my info again. I should have put it together quicker as I know he has my email. As it may be, Josh noticed a post of a few knives I'd like to have. In the box was a print out of that post and one such knife along with a black leather CK slip and note. :D:D

Brother I cant thank you enough for the kindness you have shown let alone the knife that I just received. You're tricky my friend. :D:D. For someone who has one of the most packed work and family schedules Im honored formthe emails let alone the time to send such a beauty.

Folks, I have been given way more than I deserve just in the two knives pictured below. Each have been sent to Josh and each have returned.

By the way, Josh likes Gunstock knives if anyone wants to flood him with them. :) I'll pm shipping instructions.:D

Thank you again my friend.

Sounds like a best possible case of "what goes around comes around."

Ebony/Blackwood makes any knife a study in true class, and that jigging is to die for...

+1 to Bob. You absolutely deserve this Brett! Way to go, Josh! Too bad I don't have any Gunstock patterns...

What else can I say Bob you hit the nail on the head. Both of you guys are prime examples of why the porch is what it is and why I count it an honor to be associated with the folks here. The day I found this little place on the internet I consider one of my luckiest days ever.

Don't let Brett fool you. He gives more than he receives.

Yes, I sent him that 81 back after buying it from him, but he had to earn it. When he "took a step back" from the forum, the first time, he sold off a number of great GEC's. I bought a few for a very reasonable price. He stepped back because his family needed the resources more than his hobby. That is to be commended. I told myself that if he came back to the porch, he'd get that 81 back, so he earned it. I looked at that 81 many times and thought about carrying it, but it was Brett's not mine.

I haven't earned any of the gifts he has given me, he just sends them, so in turn, back and forth, we play this game. It does make the soul feel warm inside. I enjoy giving a knife here, in this place. I know in my heart that when a gift is sent to members here, there isn't another set of individuals that could appreciate it more. I have kids, will they be as passionate about this hobby as we are, maybe, maybe not, maybe more so, but I know that when I give a knife to this community it is appreciated to a level that only a true knife nut can reach.

Enjoy it Brett, cross that one off your list and stay with us for a while again, but take that break when your family needs you. Pace yourself, you are a great contributor.

Nope, held it, admired the rarely produced Copperhead Jigged Bone, oiled it and put it back.
