Here's a quick vid I did as part of a contest I ran over in the Ka-Bar forum. I really appreciate Bill Ballowe's stoves.
Added bonus: You can play the music in the bedroom with your SO and pretend you're an adult video star. You're welcome.

That's really cool, I like the design a lot. I've made a few of the "coke can" stoves for fun. The one's I've made only held about an ounce of fuel or maybe a bit more but would burn 8-10mins. I like the fact that your stove burns long enough that you could make a real pot of coffee instead of about two cups which was the limit for the stoves I have made.

I have the White Box stove and a few others. I put the windscreen around the stove just as soon as I light it. I figure the reflected heat has to shorten the blossom time. I've also held the pot an inch or so above the stove for the same reason. Great stove.

In the White Box type of stove (made from aluminum bottles), I am really liking this version.
It's called the Gram Weenie Pro, and I picked it up with this Evernew Ti 900mL cookpot.
Perfect match up! The flame diameter is just right.

If you get a chance, pick up a Prime-Lite primer pan by Trail Designs. It runs about $3, and it really speeds up the priming time on the stove. Granted, you have to expend a little extra fuel in the primer pan.
Here's another video I did with a White Box Solo. Note that I'm not even lighting the main fuel reservoir--just the fuel in the primer pan. Blossom time is cut in half with these things.
Of course, you can easily make a priming pan of sorts by bending some thick alumninum, but the Trail Designs version is nice and tidy.

It's called the Gram Weenie Pro...

Ha. When I said I had "a few others" besides the White Box, I was refering to the Gram Weenie and the Gram Weenie Pro! I bought the Gram Weenie before there was a Pro. The former is too small with very marginal burn times. The Gram Weenie Pro, though, works perfectly for cup sized pots. I use it with a Snow Peak 600 and the White Box with a GSI kettle. I've been using a baking pan foil priming pan, but it's not nearly as neat as that Trail Designs version.

Here are my current match-ups with aluminum bottle stoves:

White Box Solo with MSR Titan Kettle.
White Box Original with GSI large cook pot (video above).
Gram Weenie Pro with Evernew 900 mL pot.

The Gram Weenie? I bought one, but it really only looks to be good for heating up a cup of already treated water for coffee/tea.
I might toss it in the pack with a metal mug for a short hike kind of thing.
