I coontacted Chad Hill of WHite Feather Blades and had him make me 2 knives

No sheaths came with mine--but he makes them as well.

I told him exactly what I wanted and that is what he sent me. EXACTLY

Smaller one is 1/8" D2(and was a gift for my wife--who loves it)

The larger one is the same as the specs on the one in the above post-and fits GREAT in the Spec Ops sheath I had.

I tested both in my house(the Backyard as well as the kitchen--then took both out today with my friend Brady(Realsteel) on the forums.

We took turns beating the piss out of the Bowie--and it LAUGHED at us.

Chad Hill has a great warrenty--'IF IT EVER FAILS--SEND IT BACK AND HE WILL REPLACE IT"

The smaller one is very sharp and whittles great.Handle is slighty to small for my hand--but Brady and Carol.

The Big One is just a tough a$$ knife--

S7 steel can take a beating

The only thing I do not like is the jimping on the top of the blade

But other than that--I love this sucker.

again--Price for both was $175

Brady and I were shocked at how much quality Chad offers for that price

Here are the photos

Please let them load as I will have to post several times to get them all in

I will also post a SLIDESHOW of all the photos at the bottom

Great pics and awesome playground! That's a sweet arrowhead! Back to the beginnings of the love and need for a sharp edge! Thanks for posting and testing!

Specs on the short one? Length of blade - length of handle?

TF

From the maker

The Battle Buddy has 3/16" Stainless pins. I saw that I had originally listed it as having 1/4"... sorry about that. It also has some scale left on but I took it to the scotch brite belt. Kinda looks cool, like a stone washed finish. But again, I can finish it how you like. If you do decide to purchace these knives from me, by all means, BEAT THEM! If you have a failure, send it back and I"ll replace it at no cost

Blade length is a little over 3.5"--Overall is 7,25"

1/8" thick D2 Steel

Specs on Large one

S7 Bowie
Flat ground
Convex edge
Treated and tempered to 57Rc
1/4" thick
1 1/4" wide
13 1/8 OAL
7 5/8 grip to tip
Black Micarta fastened with epoxy and 8- 1/8" peened brass pins.
Heat treat scale left on flats with a satin spine.

Lovely pictures, a vastly different environment to mine and is that a deer or something that I can see in one of the pictures? Cool arrow head by the way...

You got some nice knives at a very good price!
